Sakai -- Support Services
MooseTrout is currently working on extending the Sakai resource tool to allow for the following two new types of resources:
- Catalogue Link - v1 is being based on Jon Udell's LibraryLookup bookmarklet
- OpenURL - v1 is being based on simple openurl syntax
Since both of these types of links are designed, by definition, to be reverse-parsable (e.g. decomposable into originating parts) by the receiving web applications (in this case a catalogue and a link resolver), what that makes this "hack" so elegant is that saving the created link is enough; we don't need to save the constituent bibliographic components (like title, author, etc) that went into creating the link!
