So why "MooseTrout"?

When I started in the industry, I was working exclusively for Street Performers (having been one myself), writing and designing press kits and associated websites. My good friend Kyle Loranger and I came up with the name "MooseTrout". MooseTrout's original motto was "We put funny things together". Get it?!

(Also, the Moose reference hints at being Canadian.)

Then, as my career "mainstreamed", I decided to keep it because it is a little quirky, not too corporate, and shows that I don't take life too seriously. MooseTrout's second motto was "We can put anything together." Get it?!

As my career has progressed, I have been doing less programming of full-fledged web applications, and more integration of open source and open standards-based systems. MooseTrout's current motto is under review; if you'd like to fill in our poll, I'd appreciate that.

I know, the logo needs work; I'm currently working on a new one.
